What majors or academic programs do you offer?
FRCC offers almost 200 degrees and certificates in a wide variety of academic programs. Upon completion of required courses, a student can earn a certificate, receive an associate degree and/or transfer to a 4-year university or college. See our complete A-Z list of programs.
If we do not offer the program you are interested in, you may want to check the other Colorado Community Colleges to see if they offer it.
How do I get a course description?
The college catalog is online and contains all course descriptions.
You can find a link to the college catalog within eWOLF, under "registration," then "course descriptions." Simply select a discipline from the list. After you select a discipline, the courses from that discipline will appear. Click a course to view the description.
If you are looking for a historical catalog that is not online, please contact the Office of the Registrar for assistance.
Where can I find the academic calendar?
See our academic calendar here for a list of important dates.
Where can I buy and sell books?
You can buy textbooks online or at your campus bookstore. To buy your books online, it will be helpful to have your class schedule handy so you can find the books you need by entering:
- Your campus
- Semester
- Course prefix
- Course number
- Course section
See Campus Stores for more information
Selling Books
Buybacks are an opportunity for you to receive cash for your unwanted textbooks, and usually occurs at the end of each semester during finals week. The bookstore will purchase books that can be used for the upcoming semester. We pay up to 50 percent of the new or used purchase price of the book(s). However, there is no guarantee that you will receive any money. We reserve the right to refuse any textbook that does not meet our criteria. A receipt is not necessary to sell books at buyback.
How do I register for classes?
If you've completed an admissions application, you should receive an email with your next steps, including meeting with your academic advisor. In that meeting, you will determine the classes to take for your first semester. Contact the advising office at your campus to schedule an appointment with your advisor as early as possible to get the best selection of classes, times and teachers. See more information about registering for classes.
Current students can register by logging in to eWOLF, and clicking on the Add/Drop Classes icon on the dashboard.
For a list of registration dates, please see our academic calendar.
If the class you want is full, waitlist may be an option.
Do you offer continuing education?
FRCC's Continuing Education department provides affordable non-credit professional development and personal enrichment programs. Choose from a wide variety of classes that are offered in Fort Collins and online. See non-credit classes.
What books do I need for my classes?
Different sections of a course may use different textbooks, and the only way to know you are purchasing the correct textbook is to select the textbook for your specific course section.
There are two ways to do this:
- You can view and print a copy of your courses by accessing your eWOLF account. Click on the Detailed Student Schedule or Detailed Schedule links on the Registration page. You can also buy CCConline books from the FRCC bookstore.
- Login to your eWOLF account, hover over the My Classes page link and select Buy Books from the drop down menu. Then select your campus, and choose your classes (using the classes you registered for) to find out which books are required.
Most textbooks are available three weeks before classes start. We stock both new and used books, when available. Used books typically sell out first and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not reserve books. You can buy books online or in a campus bookstore.
Do you offer online courses?
Each semester FRCC offers more than 500 online classes you can take anywhere you have an internet connection. We offer almost 60 degrees and certificates that can be completed 100% online.
How do I drop or withdraw from a class?
To drop or withdraw from a class, log in to your eWOLF account and click on the Add/Drop Classes icon on the dashboard. See all drop, add and withdraw dates.
When do classes begin and end?
Check the Academic Calendar for exact start and end dates, as well as important dates and deadlines for each semester.
Generally, classes begin in late August for fall semester, mid-January for spring semester, and around the last week of May for summer semester. Fall and spring classes are each 15 weeks long. The summer semester is 10 weeks long.
We do have condensed courses available each semester that are held for less than the regular 10 or 15 weeks.
Can I audit a class?
You can audit a class by completing the Audit Grade Request form and submitting to
the Office of the Registrar prior to the drop date of your class. But keep in mind
that the College Opportunity Fund (COF) cannot apply to audited courses.
To find the Audit Grade Request form: log in to eWOLF, go to Student Resources and then look under the Student Forms heading.
How do I add a class after the deadline?
If the last day to add online has not passed, you may re-enroll your classes through eWOLF. If you are unable to add your classes online, please contact your campus to find out what your options are.
