Getting Started at FRCC
Whether you're a recent high school graduate, a transfer student or returning to FRCC after some time away, getting started at FRCC is easy. Just follow our four steps.

Your first step is to fill out our online application.
- Applying to FRCC is free
- There are no admission deadlines so you can apply anytime
- If you're over 17, our open enrollment policy means you're automatically accepted!
Once accepted, you'll receive a welcome email with all the information you need to start your enrollment.

Complete the Enrollment Steps
To get you started, we created a checklist that includes all the steps to becoming a student at FRCC. Using our student planning platform, Navigate, you’ll be able to make appointments with your advisor, build your schedule and register for classes. Simply log in and start completing your to-do items, including:
- Schedule an appointment with your advisor. Before registering for classes, you’ll meet with your advisor to help determine your course of study and map out a plan.
- Sign up for a New Student Orientation (NSO) session. FRCC’s NSO sets you up for success. You’ll learn what it’s like to be an FRCC student, build connections and prepare for your college experience.
- Register for classes.
Make a Plan to Pay for College
There are several options to help pay for your education at FRCC, including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study. To get started:
- Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF). If you're a Colorado resident, the state will help you pay for FRCC tuition. All you have to do is apply. Learn how to apply for COF.
- Apply for scholarships. Last year, FRCC awarded $18 million in scholarships. Discover what's available, what's required and how to apply for merit- and need-based scholarships.
- Set up a payment plan. Review payment options.
Register for Classes
Once you’ve completed your enrollment steps, met with your advisor and mapped out a plan for your time at FRCC, you can log into Navigate to schedule and register for your classes. Get detailed instructions on how to register.

At FRCC, money doesn't have to stand in the way of your education. Our tuition is low and many students receive free grants and scholarships. In fact, 80% of our students don't have to take out student loans.

Transfer to a Four-Year School
FRCC sets you up for transfer success. Our small class sizes and rigorous classes will prepare you for upper-division courses. We have transfer agreements with many Colorado public and private colleges to help maximize your credits. You can complete the first two years of your bachelor's degree for less than half the cost of taking the same classes at a university. Explore our resources and your transfer options.

At FRCC, you'll receive affordable, hands-on training for today's in-demand jobs. We can help you advance your skills or change careers. Some of our programs can be completed in as little as one semester! We also offer free career counseling, assessments and apprenticeships to help you land your new job.
