We offer a wide range of multimedia, web and graphic design programs. We offer four digital media Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees that take two years to complete. We also offer multiple shorter-term specialized certificates. Many of the courses from the certificate programs can transfer to an AAS degree. You're sure to find a program that fits your needs and interests.
As a multimedia student at FRCC, you'll have access to many resources and creative outlets. We'll help you connect to internships for practical experience. You can even work at our on-campus design agency to work with real clients, and we also offer work-study opportunities. Showcase your work at our art exhibits, printed publications, school social media accounts and more!

With our newest bachelor’s degree—the Business for Creative Industries BAS—students with associate degrees in creative fields can start and finish their bachelor’s degree at FRCC without having to transfer to a university.

AAS in Graphic Design
Program Locations: Boulder County, Larimer, Westminster
Total Credits: 60 credits (4 semesters)
Learn to create powerful and informative imagery by studying graphic design. At FRCC, you'll get hands-on experience using industry-standard design software. You'll have the skills to create:
- Digital illustrations
- Impactful imagery
- Dynamic page layouts
You'll also learn about graphic design principles including:
- Typography
- Image selection and composition
- Harnessing the creative process
You'll be able to start a career working for traditional advertising agencies and design agencies. You can also become a freelancer and do design work for small businesses.

Program Locations: Westminster
Total Credits: 60 credits (4 semesters)
Begin a career as a digital animator with our two-year program. You will become familiar with digital animation software and develop an eye for good design. In your courses, you will learn:
- Basic design concepts
- Basic and advanced drawing techniques
- Storyboarding
- 3D animation technology
You will also take a series of art courses to build a solid foundation in graphic design. You'll study concepts such as typography and image composition.

Develop web and multimedia design skills in two years. In our wide-ranging program, you'll learn about:

To further complement your courses, you'll study graphic design concepts such as typography and image composition. You'll be ready to enter a variety of career fields, from traditional advertising agencies to web production companies.

With our two-year program, you'll be ready to find an entry-level career in many industries. You can work at a video production companies or use your skills as a freelance video producer.
