Are you passionate about oral health and ready to make a difference in patients' lives? Dental careers are in high demand—and FRCC's dental programs provide the skills and credentials you need to excel in this growing field.
Choose from two program options—a dental assisting certificate or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in dental hygiene. Both equip you with the hands-on experience, clinical training and the academic foundation needed to start a rewarding career in dental care.
No matter which one you choose, you'll learn from compassionate, dedicated faculty. You'll also gain firsthand experience at community-based clinical experience sites or at FRCC's state-of-the-art Dr. Clarence Holmes Dental Clinic.
Dental Assistant Certificate
Launch your career in dental assisting with the Dental Assistant Certificate Program at FRCC. Our program equips students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to excel as a dental assistant in a variety of clinical settings in as little as three semesters.
You can be confident in the skills you build at FRCC. FRCC’s Dental Assistant program is one of three programs in Colorado accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association.
With a dental assistant certificate, you can get to work fast—or continue your education by joining our Dental Hygiene AAS program.
Dental Hygiene AAS
FRCC’s AAS in dental hygiene is the first and only Dental Hygiene program north of the Denver metro area. This program prepares you to take national and regional licensing exams to either work as a dental hygienist and/or pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. You will receive state-of-the-art, hands-on training in FRCC’s Dental Clinic and be taught by dental professionals. Download and view the Dental Hygiene presentation to learn more about the program.
