Get Two Years Tuition-Free with TREP

More than ever, Colorado needs teachers who are committed to making a difference. The TREP program will allow you to begin taking college courses while you're still in high school, and continue on a teaching career pathway for two years after 12th grade, tuition-free!

The TREP program creates the opportunity for qualified students in an educator career pathway to concurrently enroll in postsecondary courses and earn college credit at no tuition costs to them or their families, for up to two years after the 12th grade year.  Additional costs, such as textbooks, fees, and transportation, are not required by the district to cover, though some do.

Next Steps & Orientation

If you've been accepted into the 2024-2025 ASCENT or TREP programs, you must meet with an FRCC academic advisor prior to registering for classes. Students should call the Larimer Campus advising and scheduling line at 970-204-8332 as soon as they find out they are approved for ASCENT or TREP by their school district.

Please Note: Meeting with an FRCC Advisor is a requirement for all ASCENT/TREP students. The Concurrent Enrollment office cannot remove new student advising holds that all ASCENT/TREP candidates will have on their accounts.

ASCENT and TREP Orientation

Please plan to attend an ASCENT/TREP Student Orientation to learn more about ASCENT and TREP, how to use the Navigate platform, and how to register for classes. Students will also meet with their school district ASCENT/TREP coordinators and discuss district requirements for the program. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about Disability Support Services and the Academic Success Center on campus.
